What this editor can and cannot do
Adding content is the straightforward half. Text boxes, images, shapes and signatures are written as new objects on top of the page. They can be moved or deleted right up until export.
Editing text that is already there is the harder case, and the one people expect. A PDF stores glyph positions rather than paragraphs, so changing a word never re-flows the file the way a word processor would. This editor can cover a run of text and put new text over it. It cannot re-wrap a paragraph. For heavy rewriting, converting to Word and back is the honest route.
Redaction deserves its own note. Drawing a black rectangle over text hides nothing. The characters stay in the file and can be copied straight out of it, which has caused real disclosure incidents. A true redaction removes the content underneath, and that is what this tool does. It is also why the page must be flattened on export when redactions are present.
