About these web tools

These are small generators for building a site. You might need a QR code for a poster, a password for a new account or an ID for a record. None of them need a server, and several are better without one.

A QR code made here holds your address itself. Some QR services point the code at a short link of their own so they can count the scans. Then a printed poster stops working the day that service does. Ours cannot expire, because there is nothing in the middle.

The same goes for a password. Your browser makes it from its cryptographic random source, and the page never sends it anywhere, so there is no service to steal it from.

Frequently asked questions

Do QR codes made here expire?
No. The code holds your address itself rather than pointing at a link on our domain, so there is nothing to expire, rate-limit or take down.
Are generated passwords stored?
No. The password is made in your browser and never leaves it. Close the tab and the only copy is the one you saved.
Do you track QR scans?
We cannot. A scan goes straight to your address and never touches us. That means no scan dashboard, and also nothing in the middle to fail.
How random is the password?
It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random source, the kind used to make encryption keys. It never uses Math.random, which is not built for secrets.
Is there a generation limit?
No. There is no account and no count, so make as many as you like.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded. Nothing here asks the network for anything.
