About these image tools

Every tool here works on pictures inside the browser, with canvas and the codecs your browser already ships. That is why there is no file size cap and no batch limit. The work happens on your processor, so a folder of 200 photos uses none of your bandwidth.

The catch is that your browser cannot read a few formats. Camera raw files and layered PSDs are the common ones. When a tool cannot open a file, it says so on the page and sends the file nowhere.

Picking a format is most of the job. PNG keeps every pixel and supports clear areas, which suits logos and screenshots. JPG is for photographs and has no transparency. WebP does both and is often a quarter smaller. AVIF is smaller still, but older software may not open it.

Formats
PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF and GIF. Input and output choices vary by tool.
Batch
No file cap. Files run one at a time to keep the tab alive.
Transparency
Kept wherever the format you pick supports it.
Metadata
Location and camera data are dropped on re-encode.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?
No. The page reads them from your disk and works on them with your own processor. It sends nothing, which is why a big batch is fast and why the tools keep working offline once loaded.
Is there a file size limit?
No file size limit. Image to Text and Remove Background stop at 40 megapixels, because a bigger picture runs a tab out of memory. A phone gives up sooner than a laptop.
Can I do a whole folder at once?
Yes, on the tools that take more than one file. They run in order rather than all at once, so the page stays usable while the queue empties.
Do the tools add a watermark?
No. Nothing is stamped on your picture, at any size or count.
Which formats keep transparency?
PNG and WebP, the two see-through formats these tools write. Saving to JPG fills the clear parts, and the tool asks which colour to use instead of guessing black.
Is my camera and location data removed?
Re-encoding drops it, so a converted or compressed file comes out clean. Image to Base64 does not re-encode, so it keeps that data.
